Special practice · Artificial intelligence for business

Turn AI into results. Without losing control.

We identify where artificial intelligence can create value, which risks need to be controlled and how to measure the return on each initiative.

01Identify value
02Control risk
03Measure results

Local experience. Global coordination. Defensible decisions.

Kreston Trusted AI

AI is already in your organisation. The question is whether it is creating value under control.

Teams are experimenting, vendors are embedding algorithms and decisions increasingly depend on data. Waiting is also a decision — and it can increase exposure.

Our approach combines business judgment, risk management and a practical adoption path. No generic promises and no technology projects disconnected from outcomes.

01Where is the real value?

02What information is exposed?

03Who validates decisions?

04How will return be measured?

An executive, verifiable path

From interest in AI to a defensible decision.

We can begin with one specific need or support the full journey. Each stage produces useful evidence for deciding what comes next.

01

Kreston AI 360 Assessment

An executive view of current uses, data, controls, capabilities and risk to establish where the organisation stands and what it should address first.

Deliverable: readiness and priority map
02

Opportunity and return map

We identify specific use cases and rank them by impact, feasibility, exposure and time to value.

Deliverable: prioritised initiative portfolio
03

Controlled AI pilot

We test a bounded opportunity with success criteria, accountable owners, data protection, human validation and evidence of results.

Deliverable: pilot and scaling decision
04

Governance and ongoing support

We design policies, roles, controls and dashboards so adoption can grow responsibly and deliver sustainable results.

Deliverable: governance and monitoring framework

Business-focused applications

Prioritise what is useful before what is novel.

Opportunity often begins where there is volume, repetition, fragmented information or decisions that need greater speed and consistency.

01

Finance and accounting

Reconciliations, close processes, variance analysis and assisted report preparation.

02

Audit and controls

Anomaly detection, document review and continuous monitoring of risk signals.

03

Tax and compliance

Regulatory research, obligation tracking and support for consistency reviews.

04

Documents and contracts

Classification, extraction, comparison and secure retrieval across large volumes of information.

05

Management and decisions

Executive synthesis, scenarios, indicators and alerts that accelerate defensible decisions.

The Kreston method

Five decisions, in the right order.

Technology is one part of the system. The others are the objective, data, people, controls and evidence.

  1. 01Understand

    Objectives, processes, data and risk

  2. 02Prioritise

    Value, feasibility and exposure

  3. 03Test

    A bounded case with metrics

  4. 04Control

    Policies, permissions and validation

  5. 05Measure

    Return, quality and learning

Initial assessment · 3 minutes

How ready is your organisation to move forward with AI?

Assess five dimensions. We do not request sensitive data or store your answers.

0 of 5 dimensions assessed
01 · StrategyHas the organisation defined the outcomes it expects from AI?
02 · ProcessesDo you know which repetitive tasks or decisions could improve with AI?
03 · Data and securityAre there rules to protect information used in AI tools?
04 · PeopleCan teams use AI and validate its outputs responsibly?
05 · GovernanceAre accountable owners, controls and metrics defined for each AI initiative?

Answer all five dimensions to see your readiness level.

Preliminary guidance only. This does not constitute an audit, certification or definitive professional advice.

Trust by design

Moving quickly does not mean giving up control.

01

Problem before tool

The solution begins with a clear business outcome, not a fashionable platform.

02

Purposeful, bounded data

Minimum access, relevant information and explicit rules for handling data.

03

Human oversight

Material decisions retain accountable owners, validation and escalation paths.

04

Demonstrable return

Quality, time, cost and risk metrics support a sound decision on whether to scale.

Reference framework

The approach can be aligned with recognised governance principles, including ISO/IEC 42001 and the NIST AI RMF, according to each organisation’s context.

Frequently asked questions

What should be clear before we begin.

Do we need an AI strategy before starting?

No. The assessment is designed to structure the conversation, understand what is already happening and define a realistic starting point.

Does the approach depend on a specific technology?

No. We begin with the business problem, available data and required controls. Technology is assessed afterwards and must meet those criteria.

Can Kreston implement a complete solution?

The scope may include assessment, design, pilot, governance and ongoing support. When specialised technology capabilities are needed, we coordinate with suitable partners under clearly defined responsibilities.

How is professional independence protected?

Each engagement is evaluated in advance. Where Kreston serves as external auditor, any additional service remains subject to applicable independence rules and safeguards.

Does this assessment replace a formal evaluation?

No. The digital result is indicative. A professional recommendation requires an understanding of the organisation’s context, systems, data and objectives.

A focused conversation

Start with one opportunity and one difficult question.

In an initial conversation, we can establish the starting point, identify who should be involved and define the scope of a useful assessment.
